Sophie Rochester is founder and CEO of Yodomo, the platform for creative experiences. She is listed as one of the Top 10 Creative Entrepreneurs in the UK by the British Council and in the UK’s Top 100 ‘most influential and innovative’ in the Guardian Professional’s hClub 100 list.
She has consulted on a large number of digital publishing start-ups through her award-winning company The Literary Platform. In 2020, The Literary Platform was listed as #10 on the Fortuna 50 list of the UK’s fastest-growing women-led small businesses.
Previously she worked for Random House. 4th Estate and Good Technology, and has consulted clients on content marketing, digital communications and digital product development at Pan Macmillan, Hachette, Penguin Random House, Nesta, British Council and the Royal Society of Literature.
She founded Yodomo in 2020, launching the platform for creative experiences in the summer of 2018. She has since raised over £200k for the business through equity crowdfunding. Yodomo now hosts over 100+ online courses, kits and live workshops from leading artists, makers, designers and brands, and has been featured in the Guardian and ES magazine. Sophie was a participant in We in Social Tech Cohort 2.
