Simon Read is a successful entrepreneur in the technology sector having created his first tech business in 1999 which successfully raised venture capital finance and was incubated at an accelerator and backed by several leading VC firms. During that time he learned and implemented business acceleration techniques and developed best practice methods, and developed a network of investor contacts that he maintains to this day. In 2006 Simon created Hubworking, one of the first flexible workspace solutions in the UK, which he later sold before returning to technology to develop and support other businesses.
In recent years, Simon coached businesses on the government sponsored Growth Accelerator programme, with Grant Thornton. He also acted as a mentor for the Start Scale Grow programme, sharing his contacts and knowledge with other entrepreneurs, and he is a member of the judging panel awarding business development grants on behalf of Tower Hamlets Council.
Today Simon works with private clients in the media and entertainment sector, as well as advising clients in the technology sector, particularly those developing blockchain based technologies, both in the UK and US. He has also successfully completed the University of Oxford Blockchain Strategy Programme.
